With September, what else is there to do then to wait around for the Film Festival? Go watch local Football of course! With a bit of drama surrounding the coaching staff, it seems that everybody is pretty excited about having Coach Bill Barbour, the young local East Hamptonite that lead the team to victory last week against Hauppauge and is starting out his first year of coaching on the right foot. Bonac will be playing home next Thursday against Huntington home at 3:30 p.m. If you drive by the field and see them practicing, don’t hesitate to beep your horn and scream out the window like the wild fan you are.

I don’t know why I feel compelled to talk about spin class, core strengthening or abdominal crunches every five minutes, but I’m assuming a few of you are as exercise-struck as me. After-all, it’s the summer of pasta at Tutto Il Giorno and oatmeal cookies at Tate’s. It’s called work hard/play hard, people!
A message from Marion at Zonehampton:
So hopefully you guys have noticed..our new studio is opening this weekend!!
When you go to reserve, you will see we have an AWESOME line up of instructors both up and downstairs!! If you have any questions about these classes, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail us..you know we love to chat!!!
By the way..the ZHcycle/baby and me…I have added this to the schedule on monday’s and friday’s for those of us who can’t leave our kids at home. We will have them in the studio downstairs with a bunch of babysitters taking care of them. Oliver and Reese will be here, so please, bring your kids!! There is an additional $10 (per rider) charge for the babysitting service. That said, you can also just consider this another cycling class on the schedule..you do not have to bring kids!!
Okay, we are looking forward to an incredible summer of working out!!
All the best,
marion

We got to head out to the oldest cattle ranch in America for a little horse back riding on the beach in Montauk. The Deep Hollow Ranch offers an amazing trail ride that has you trotting through the woods with an expert rider who brings you and a group to the water. Don’t ask me how the heck I didn’t drop the camera. Check out the view of the beach, it is just so awesome.

Ever since my family moved to DUMBO, my eyes light up when I see David Walentas’ name. Page Six is reporting that he’s acquired the legendary Adolfo Cambiaso to play for the Two Trees team this summer. Now there’s more to look forward to than foot massages and a certain delicious sportsman named Nacho. Starting in mid-July, the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge should be as buzzed-about as ever. Tickets are available on site, for $20/car.

Somewhere between my blondie at Golden Pear and black licorice from Candy Kitchen, it hit me: I’m going to get fat this summer. At 29-years old I’m blessed with good metabolism/skinny genes/great legs/ whatever, and normally don’t have to watch what I eat. But as I went from town to town this weekend, picking up a cookie here, croissant there, I began worrying about the bod. I mean, over-indulgence is practically a religion out East! Luckily, the calorie gods sent me a solution. SOULCYCLE, the candlelit, karma-rich spin class, is expanding from the UWS to Butter Lane in Bridgehampton this summer! It’s that touchy feel spinning class (I know, oxymoron, right?!), which Katie Couric, Kyra Sedgwick, Caroline Kennedy, Jane Rosenthal etc. are obsessed with. I remember reading about it in Page Six when Bill Clinton made a surprise appearance. Bubba aside, I hear the ambiance is addictive and that it totally firms up your… you-know-what. I’m trying the class on Friday, and will let you know if I sweat it or not.

Aida Turturro the lovely actress from the HBO Original Series hit “The Sopranos” was out for St. Patty’s day weekend enjoying the parade and then headed down to Gurney’s Inn for an excellent cocktail party in honor of the Montauk Friends of Erin. Paul Monte, the CEO of the resort posed in a picture for us, so we just had to put it up here on the site!
