It’s the morning after a marathon night of partying.
We started at the Veuve Clicquot house for a private performance by Vanessa Carlton. The concert was so elegant and intimate that I had to pinch myself to make sure it was happening. She was radiant and real, bolting out ballads about heartbreak and, well, more heartbreak. All in all, a true Hamptons memory. Thanks, girl.
We trickled on over to the Inca fashion show at The Estate, where Topher Grace sat in the front row looking dapper and lovely (even if little). Shadow PR hosted the event - and the unanimous vote is that they throw the best parties of the summer. The music was pumping, the models were mesmerizing, and the crowd was the ultimate “it” clique. Ali Fatourechi from Genetic Denim was the hot guy of the hour, while Allie Smith, from Armani Exchange, dazzled our eyes as always.
Last but never least, Mr. Mitvah. Some might call him Mister Insanity. Or, Mister Shocking. Or, Mister Party God. Or, Mister Orgy. It really depends on your experience. The crowd consisted of eccentrics like Michael Musto, a bunch of men in hot pink Spiderman speedos, and 4 bus-loads of NYC ladies ready to party their fishnets off. The general rule was go crazy or go home! I wanted to go crazy. Sadly, my (prude!) friend wanted to go home. So I’ll leave the rest of the reporting to my co-writers, who all came in capes and whips and other priceless, provocative costumes. Assuming they survived…

I like to say I’m a hermit. In reality, there are occasional weekends where I’ll go to the opening of an envelope. This, I’m afraid, is one of those weekends.
Tonight there is a screening of “The 11th hour,” hosted by Project Greenhouse & TAR ART. The invite says “cocktails and film under the stars.” I mean, does life get any better? This is where the artsy, I-don’t-do-Dune, scene will be tonight.
Tomorrow, one of my closest girlfriends, Lisette Sand-Freedman, is having a fashion show for Inca at The Estate in Sag Harbor. Topher Grace is going….grrrr. It’s at 9pm. I might go just for the gift bag.
More importantly, Mr. Mitzvah is having his annual superhero shindig. I’m not going to pretend I actually understand what this dude is all about, but I hear it could be the ultimate party of the summer.
The problem is, you need to dress up like some cartoon character. What should I be….”Super Boyfriend Stealer?” or “Wasted Wonder Woman?”
I’m also told that it’s the kind of night where anything goes, and you do NOT want to be the designated driver.
Of course there is also Polo, a Leblon clambake, the sickest Soul Cycle and Zonehampton classes of the week, and a massive sale at Calypso.
After all this, I’m going back under my rock. With a Bloody Mary!

Just as I expected, Prince made me feel like a princess on my birthday.
His concert at The Ross School was a sensational experience, from Kid Rock (my crush!) to caviar-tarts (diet starts today!) to a rock-star performance by…The Artist Currently Known As The Best Night of the Summer.
Let’s start with the food. This was not your ordinary BBQ. Unless you have Japanese sushi masters and Parisian chocolatiers hanging in your ‘hood. Tuna tempura, truffle dumplings, hazelnut gelato….Not to mention copious cocktails at a beautiful bar with cute waiters and zero line.
People fluttered around double-kissing with David Lauren and Steven Bing, talking about St. Tropez and Tutto Il Giorno, dabbling in candy from Dylan’s Candy Bar and doing the “I never go out anymore!” thing.
In the meantime, the only people consuming as many calories as me were… The Sopranos.
Aida Turturo and Edie Falco had a big table of cast-members and beach friends. They were seriously indulging. The one detail distracting them from their grub and gossip was Leonardo DiCaprio, whose new girlfriend is actually hotter than his ex, Giselle.
But besides a few of the jaded folks, the pre-concert energy was unlike anything I’ve seen this summer. It was so electric that it almost overshadowed the actual music, which was inevitably… magical.
Prince is a legend, and to see him sing, dance and shake his thing is a privilege everyone should experience once in their lifetime.
My only issue was the crowd was a little conservative. I wanted to scream, dance, go topless and make memories, and the audience seemed a little sidetracked by…themselves.
Either way, it was an insane event - and for a very cool cause, no less.
(While ticket sales don’t go to The Ross School directly, the organizers of the show, Social, will make an impressive donation to its scholarship program.)
It was a glorious night, with a perfect sunset…..and just enough Purple Rain.

Now that Independence Day is over and done with, the Hamptons are back to being cute, charming and country-like. Thank god. This weekend should be good, and less glitzy, with events like:
The Hamptons Greek Festival - Hit up the Greek Orthodox Church for some spinach pie and sexy, scruffy guys. Or check out Trata in Watermill, where the Euro-party continues late-night.
The Bard Music Festival - Listen to Mozart in a church in Sag Harbor, or take your kids to see Peter and The Wolf.
Bastille Day - Go to Pierre’s and see this guy!
My birthday - Sorry, private event ![]()

This was not a good weekend for the antisocial.
There were so many parties on Saturday night that no one was left without a glamorous memory or four (not that we can remember them). The following hyper-fabulous hosts threw the best bashes of all:
Russell Simmons: One friend described the scene as “Downtown Cipriani but better.” Socialites and vegetarian-dishes were the theme of his at-home BBQ.
Ross Bleckner: Calvin Klein, Andre Balazs, Jeff Sharp and several other bold-faced-names attended this highly anticipated evening benefiting AIDS research.
Lisette Sand-Freedman: Co-owner of Shadow PR, LSF had her 30th Birthday party at The Estate on Noyak Path. The theme was 13 Going on 30, with a mansion disguised as a Bat Mitvah. Guest included Star Jones and Jamie Lynn Sigler. The after party was at Pink Elephant, where PDiddy had a table too.
Ron Perelman: Ron held his annual bash this weekend - but kept the mood a bit more mellow, as he and fellow friends honored his ex-wife, and dear friend, Claudia Cohen.

Only in the Hamptons could Kmart be so chic. In the last 48 hours Peter Cook and his new flame were spotted there, as was Kelsey Grammar and his wife Camille! While the Cook crew was eyeing and buying sheets, it looked like Kelsey and Cam were invading the food section. Attention Hamptons Shoppers.
We wonder if Jerry Seinfeld hits the Big K too — after-all, if you’re voted the “Best Party House in the Hamptons” by OK! magazine, we assume you’d need to stock up on chips, dips and whatever else Kmart sells (um, some of us still prefer Citarella).

Attention party crashers: Page Six has reported the most exclusive parties to attend this Fourth of July celebratory weekend. Just don’t be offended if you walk away with a handful of condoms, instead of some new friends. You’ll understand after a second…
“Artist Ross Bleckner will throw the ACRIA bash he’s hosting along with Martha Nelson, AndrĂ© Balazs, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Bob Colacello, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Gillian Hearst-Shaw and Alex von Furstenberg at his Sagaponack home. Bleckner has a surprise for guests - instead of wristbands, revelers will get Magnum condoms as their tickets into the party. Donors who gave $1,000 or more will get two condoms and a signed print by artist Robert Longo.”
OR you could always sneak into Shabbot Services in Westhampon! Good husband-hunting at both spots, if that’s your thing!

I was out at Stereo by The Shore in Southampton last Saturday night and as usual Sean Gallager made everything was good as usual. The DJ spun an amazing mix of rock and hip-hop and classic beats that made the crowd want to get up and dance. Star Jones and her boyfriend were there celebrating his birthday with the help of beautiful bottle girl Cynthia LaForte, the star of the VIP section and up and coming actress. I happened to get a couple of drinks with the Playboy Bunnies that were there who were imported from Las Angeles and Athens. We then headed down to Dune and then to Star Room where we were rubbing elbows with Kevin Connelly.
It was one heck of a Hamptons evening.

We’re not sure if it’s a good thing, or a bad thing, but Sen Lounge in Sag Harbor has been labeled “The Bungalow 8 of The Hamptons.” Considering I hate to go clubbing, but love a good night at “B8,” this comparison immediately perked my attention. From my few experiences at Sen Lounge (and from what I can remember), the crowd is definitely as attractive as the B8 crew. Less models, more all-American beauties. Equal amount of toxic bachelors. Way less of a bathroom line. The Tokyo Cocktail, shown above, made with Japenese vodka and fresh grapefruit juice, is one of the more popular drinks on the innovative beverage list. It’s not particularly delicious, but the whole chemistry-chic thing is very cool. Plus, when you’re at the Bungalow 8 of the Hamptons, it’s not how you taste, it’s how you look.

Girls all over town are scrambling for manis, pedis, blow-outs and…overalls?! The cuties from College Humor are having a Carnival-themed house party tonight, complete with cotton candy machines, trampolines and an option to BYOT (Bring Your Own Tent) and sleep over.
For more civilized social circles, the other place to be seen is at Andrew Borrok’s beautiful home, for Hampton Style’s annual Real Estate issue celebration. Borrok’s estate is rumored to be an unbelievable spectacle, and the food ‘n wine will certainly trump your average shrimp cocktail.
Power brokers OR pinball machines? What to choose? What to wear?
Only in the Hamptons.
