The Tuma Agency in Montauk, a local real estate brokerage has fallen prey to the real estate melt down. Such a bummer. The store space is now for rent. Not sure who has the listing.

Okay, for those of you that don’t know this yet, The Montauk Yacht Club does not require a membership and is open to the public for use. Did I mention THE MONTAUK YACHT CLUB IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
That’s right, this amazing, ridiculous, awesome, super elegant place may sound like a private club, but it isn’t, it just FEELS like a private club.
Well they invited us down there for a bite to eat with some wine, and we have to say, it was excellent. It’s a great Montauk gem, and the new management is pulling out all of the bells and whistles, so get down there and get some food, a massage, or spend the night at the hotel!

A drinking village with a fishing problem? Maybe so, but the gazillionaires all love Montauk!
From South O’ Column in Dan’s Papers: A classic Montauk mansion, symmetrical and waterfront, designed by Tom Gessler, has just sold for $21.5 million to art collector and media entrepeneur Adam Lindemann, who is the husband of Amalia Dayan, granddaughter of the late Israeli politician Moshe Dayan. The couple can list Paul Simon and J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler amongst their neighbors.

Montauk, the commercial fishing dragger Jason and Danielle and an actor named Nick Gregory recently got together on the high seas to shoot a commercial for Gorton’s of Gloucester, a seafood company based in Massachusetts. The advertising campaign has Mr. Gregory acting as the head fisherman for Gorton’s, sporting a rough and tough beard and wearing yellow rain slicks. He hails from Sag Harbor.
