Well it’s official now, Tom Cruise was seen jogging on the North Fork. Maverick was piloting his legs through the Orient with his bodyguard, I still can’t believe it! Very exciting news for the North Fork, which is traditionally the sleepy (but pretty) part of the East End. Cruise’s bodyguard was riding his bicycle next to him while running (cool job) and many noticed as fans waved and Tom waved back.
I received this information from a credible source! It’s true! Tom Cruise on the North Fork! Yahhhhoooo. Total ego boost for Wine Country.
Apparently Katie Holmes. is filming a movie in Southold and Tom came for a visit, although I haven’t heard anything about her being out. The movie, called the Romantics, also is starring, Adam Brody, Elijah Wood, Josh Duhamel and Anna Paquin. We haven’t heard yet if they have been lighting up the town or going on wine tours on the North Fork but we hope that they are. The North Fork always needs the extra biz.

We love the show, “It’s a Big Big World” which is filmed at the Wainscott Studios and is owned by partners Mitchell Kriegman (the guy who came up with “Clarissa Explains it All) as well as Enclave Inn owner Michael Wudyka. The two had their favorite charachter, “Snook the Sloth” roam around the Hamptons saying hello. Have a look at the pic of Snook and State Assemblyman Fred Thiele below.
Becoming more and more popular with Hollywood, Mitchell and Micheal were among the first, if not the first visionaires for a full all out movie studio in the Hamptons. Check out Wainscott Studios.

The USA Network has announced that it will make 11 episodes of “Royal Pains” a television show about doctor Hank Lawson (played by Mark Feurstein, above) who is an emergency room doctor that goes to work for rich families of the Hamptons.
”I stubbed my toe walking off my personal helicopter. Help doctor help!” Drama, drama, drama!
Okay folks, it’s officially here. After seeing more movies than ever being filmed here in the Hamptons, and now this television show, we are now expecting somebody to coin the term “Hamptonswood” or “Beverly Hamptons” or some other silly name. Get on it.
