I will be the happiest guy in the world if this is true. We just heard a rumor that Victoria’s Secret is going to do a photo shoot for a new line out on one of the East End beaches. It is top secret because so many men flock to the beach to watch a shoot.
OH MAAAAAAAAANNNNN!!!!!

Yes, it is true, your truely went sky diving along with the publisher of Dan’s Papers. Yes, I was terrified.
Publisher Kathy Rae looks pretty stoked.
Writer David Rattiner looks pretty terrified.
I got to tell you, if you want to go for a thrill, hit up Skydive Long Island in Calverton for an adventure you will not soon forget. Just bring an extra pair of shorts.

Dear danshamptons.com,
My adult children take their own holidays away these days. This time last year I floated the offer of a week long break, together, anywhere out of the UK. The initial surprize soon gained momentum and quickly led to husband, daughter (29) and son (23) simultaneously and unanimously chosing New York, New York. Manhattan to be precise.
After hunting down some of the most sensational Manhattan abodes, and with only three weeks to lift-off, ‘The Hamptons’ entered the equation. We would need somewhere to ‘recover’ before flying back direct to Liverpool, England. I spent nearly the whole of the next three weeks on the internet searching for somewhere to stay in the Hamptons, for only three nights in July, not too far from JFK and not too close either.
Ordinary hotels en route, were full for those dates. I had almost given up. Our local Borders shop could not even supply a travel map including Long Island and the Hamptons. It was looking seriously like seven nights in Times Square until I stumbled across Dan’s -web-Pages around 2 am the week before leaving. A female reporter appeared in a video clip describing her favourite place in the Hamptons. It took a lot of searching through the website but thanks to Dan’s Pages carrying advertisements right through the Hamptons we were declared ‘in’ for our three nights at Westhampton.
Another lovely surprise straight from your pages was the Sunset Cafe at Westhampton, and in particular the friendly and helpful welcome we got from Gabrielle when we arrived new in town almost straight from Dan’s Pages. Three very happy days ensued before we re-emerged towards JFK and our Liverpool home replenished and well cared for.
Just a little thank you note!

It’s prom season, which means that high school kids in Manhattan are going to have their “after party” at a rented house in the Hamptons. Yeee hawww. Always fun to watch prep school kids destroy a house. According to the New York Sun, students bring overnight bags and celebrate in the privacy of the country, often guarded by hired security officers.

That’s right, the biggest block buster of the year mentions East Hampton in one of the early scenes where the comic book weapons billionaire Tony Stark, the alias behind Iron Man, decides that he needs to own a Jackson Pollack from his Spring era. He is of course corrected by his assistant who tells him that it is not from his “Spring era, but is from his house in Springs which is a part of East Hampton New York.
Awww yeah! Iron Man gives a shout out to the Hamptons. We saw the movie this weekend and it is AWESOME! It’s playing in East Hampton.

We love the new Georgica Bank idea!
So you saw the ad in Dan’s Papers and now want to invest in Georgica Bank do ya? Well of course you do! Just click here and fill out the contact form and then mail in $25,000 and you get to be a shareholder of a pretty sweet little bank out in the Hamptons.
Be spoiled.
From Dan’s Papers
“It’s a good time to start a bank,” said Chris Becker, President and CEO of Georgica Bank, at a recent presentation for potential investors held at the Bridgehampton Inn. Although I’m not very familiar with the banking industry, I do have investment experience and a business degree, and what he said rang true. With the ongoing mortgage crisis, rise in foreclosures and overall downturn of the economy, starting a new bank, or any new business, might not seem like a good idea. But with a clean balance sheet and availability of credit, Georgica Bank is
