They can’t be everywhere at once, which is why the jet set this weekend are going to have to choose between heading out to see Billy Joel at the Ross School, where two tickets cost $6,000, or go have dinner with Hillary and Bill Clinton at Ron Perlman’s house for $9,200.
The camp at Hillary and at Ross have both expressed concerns that one function will be taking away from the other, but getting out money from Hamptons pockets is never easy. You could always listen to Billy Joel on your i-Pod while having dinner with Bill, that might work. However, $9,200 is a little steep for dinner, $6,000 sounds like a bargain to go to a concert.
Saturday isn’t the only Hillary opportunity in the Hamptons to show some Hillary love. According to Bloomberg.com “Tonight she’ll be a guest of Irene and Bernard Schwartz, the former chairman of Loral Space & Communications Inc., who are hosting a $1,000-a-head cocktail party in Southampton. (Amazingly, the senator has a quick daytrip to Chicago on Saturday for two public events, before the Perelman dinner.)”
Flying on to Chicago on Saturday and coming back for dinner in the Hamptons is pretty pimp.
Can’t squeeze in Billy and Hillary into one day? You can catch Hillary Sunday morning in East Hampton then. Venture capitalist Alan Patricof is having a $1,000 pancake breakfast for Clinton. If you shell out 10 Gs, she’ll pose in a photo for you.
Bye the way, if you are a complete slob, with no money to your name, you can always go to that super inexpensive place Nobu to enjoy an all-inclusive $250 Nobu dinner, prepared by Nobu staff at the Ross School on the 17th and 18th with Clinton. Here’s the number for a reservation 212-757-3000.
Only in the Hamptons.

While waiting for the ladies room at Suki Zuki last night, I overheard a beautiful woman saying the strangest thing, “I’m a hairdresser slut! I just can NOT stay faithful to anyone I see!”
She lingered around the bathroom area chatting to friends for a while, and I went back to the bar (because I like to sip a Saketini while I wait for my take-out).
Then I realised that the slutty-hair-talker was Carey Lowell, and sitting at arm’s distance from me was Richard Gere, patiently awaiting her.
The cutest part was that Richard appeared to be scarfing the rest of their food down while she was away from the table. I do that on dates when I don’t want the guy to see how much food I can inhale!
Carey came back. Richard signed the check. And the two walked out, well-fed and arm-in-arm.

Sure it’s smack-dab in the middle of the week, but that doesn’t mean there’s not enough to do on The Fourth of July this year!
Start by grabbing yourself at new bikini at Lu-Berry in Watermill. Her one of a kind suits are as sexy as the Columbian owner herself. If you’re not feeling bikini-ready, buy yourself one of her $20 cuff bracelets. Tres chic!
Or better yet, get your you-know-what over to Soul-Cycle, where Carey Lowell, Richard Gere’s wife, was working out this morning!
Dinner reservations won’t be pretty, so have a big lunch at Bay Burger, which is getting amazing applause from the boys at The Beach.
Don’t forget to pick your kids up at The Ross School Camp, which opened its doors to the luckiest kids ever this week.
End the night with a bang in Montauk. 9pm. You bring the wine, I’ll bring the cherries. Where else would you want to be!

We’re not sure if it’s a good thing, or a bad thing, but Sen Lounge in Sag Harbor has been labeled “The Bungalow 8 of The Hamptons.” Considering I hate to go clubbing, but love a good night at “B8,” this comparison immediately perked my attention. From my few experiences at Sen Lounge (and from what I can remember), the crowd is definitely as attractive as the B8 crew. Less models, more all-American beauties. Equal amount of toxic bachelors. Way less of a bathroom line. The Tokyo Cocktail, shown above, made with Japenese vodka and fresh grapefruit juice, is one of the more popular drinks on the innovative beverage list. It’s not particularly delicious, but the whole chemistry-chic thing is very cool. Plus, when you’re at the Bungalow 8 of the Hamptons, it’s not how you taste, it’s how you look.

I’ll never forget watching Perez Hilton eat meatballs out of an aluminum bag. For breakfast. He was on some food-delivery-diet, and the rules said he could eat the entire bag of food, in any order, throughout the course of the day. No more, no less. Seemed like a gimmick to me, until the gossip guru started dropping tons of weight, one delivery at a time. Since then, I’ve put more faith into the food-delivery-diet fad, even though it would never work for a control freak like me. No one is going to tell me what to eat. Not to mention, diets like the one below (just emailed by my fitness-crazed friend Brett Hoebel) limit one’s calorie intake to 1500/day. I’m passing-out from starvation just from reading it. But hey, Weight Watchers teaches: Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. Which is a big, fat lie.
Hey guys! Many of you have asked me about Food Delivery Companies in the Hamptons for the summer. I recently started with Befana – a gourmet food delivery company – and really like it. They deliver in New York City and now in the Hamptons on the weekends. Befana’s food is by far a cut above the other delivery companies and I’ve tried everyone from Zone Chefs, NuKitchen and 5 Squares. The founders of Befana actually started the Zone delivery with Dr. Barry Sears. The meals focus on a more Mediterranean style diet with fresh fish, lots of fresh veggies and fruit as well as other foods like meat, poultry etc. Befana delivers to homes in the Hamptons on Friday night or Saturday morning – you decide which day and what time. There are 3 meals and 1 snack per delivery – they make one delivery for the weekend – they would deliver Sat & Sun’s meals on Friday night or Saturday morning. You can sign up for 1 or 2 weekend days in the Hamptons and weekdays and weekends in NYC. Befana is offering a discount for people I recommend – the discounted rates are below.
Hampton Weekend Rates:
- 45$ for 1 weekend day
- $90 for 2 weekend days ($45 / day)
- $380 for a 10-pack ($38 per day)
Ingredients:
- you can customize what you want e.g., NO gluten, NO dairy, NO starch etc.
- organic
Calories:
- 2,000 cal for men – this can be modified to be less or more
- 1,500 for women – this can be modified to be less or more
