Who says rock shows have to cost $3,000 a pop? Tim Dalene of NRO (No Real Organization) and Telemark Builders in Bridgehampton and pals have finished the completion of their half pipe which will be at the music and art event known throughout town as CHIAROSCURO (click here for date and time). Don’t ask us how to pronounce it.
Judging by these pictures, it should be pretty radical. Among the bands playing will be The Isles, Tequila Mockingbird, Kiss Kiss, Consent of Kings, Bastards of Boom, Jet Jaguar, Blue Jackets, Hot Lips Houlihan and Igniter. All this will happen this Saturday at East Hampton Studios. Rock on.

The dancing competitions were not just on television last week. The Shinnecock Indian Reservation had its annual pow wow and deemed this year as the best one ever, primarily due to the weather. Lance Gumbs, the tribal chief said, “We have good things coming our way.”
They also had some good wild quail to eat while you were there. Yum.

They can’t be everywhere at once, which is why the jet set this weekend are going to have to choose between heading out to see Billy Joel at the Ross School, where two tickets cost $6,000, or go have dinner with Hillary and Bill Clinton at Ron Perlman’s house for $9,200.
The camp at Hillary and at Ross have both expressed concerns that one function will be taking away from the other, but getting out money from Hamptons pockets is never easy. You could always listen to Billy Joel on your i-Pod while having dinner with Bill, that might work. However, $9,200 is a little steep for dinner, $6,000 sounds like a bargain to go to a concert.
Saturday isn’t the only Hillary opportunity in the Hamptons to show some Hillary love. According to Bloomberg.com “Tonight she’ll be a guest of Irene and Bernard Schwartz, the former chairman of Loral Space & Communications Inc., who are hosting a $1,000-a-head cocktail party in Southampton. (Amazingly, the senator has a quick daytrip to Chicago on Saturday for two public events, before the Perelman dinner.)”
Flying on to Chicago on Saturday and coming back for dinner in the Hamptons is pretty pimp.
Can’t squeeze in Billy and Hillary into one day? You can catch Hillary Sunday morning in East Hampton then. Venture capitalist Alan Patricof is having a $1,000 pancake breakfast for Clinton. If you shell out 10 Gs, she’ll pose in a photo for you.
Bye the way, if you are a complete slob, with no money to your name, you can always go to that super inexpensive place Nobu to enjoy an all-inclusive $250 Nobu dinner, prepared by Nobu staff at the Ross School on the 17th and 18th with Clinton. Here’s the number for a reservation 212-757-3000.

Project Greenhouse, the infamous, super eco-freindly home in East Hampton that has been recently built to prove that luxury living and being good to the environment can co-exist, along with HBO’s Entourage Star Adrian Grenier hosted the “Closing Reception” for Project GreenHouse Hamptons by having a poker game at the home to benefit Charity Water, which drills wells in Africa.

Now that’s how you launch a clothing line. DonFashions, a new clothing line created by Montauk local and barely 18-years-old P.J. Monte, displayed his fashionable threads along with Southampton swimsuit designer Lu Berry on an outdoor runway at the private beach at Gurney’s Inn. DonFashions, which offers youthful designer clothing with an Italian-mobster twist, attracted the likes of Hampton clothing retailers and photographers. The event, sponsored by Hamptons Vodka and Hamptons Style Magazine among others, had a crowd of well over two hundred people giving a standing ovation for the two designers.
After the launch, Gurney’s redecorated its stunning conference room into a nightclub complete with models, fashionistas and plenty of alcohol. As PJ’s shirts would say, “I am the Don…Bitch”

For two hours on a Saturday, satisfy your competitive spirit by coming down to watch the Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge, an annual event, which is held at the Bridgehampton Polo Club. The greatest equestrians in all of polo will assemble at JetOne Jets Field. The polo season begins on July 21 and runs all the way to August 25, spanning over six Saturdays. All proceeds from the six weeks of competition will go to the South Fork Breast Health Coalition for breast cancer.
This year, along with the many sponsors, there will be a T-Mobile Sidekick Lounge with Danny Masterson spinning while you watch the balls go SMACK. They will be showcasing the one-of-a-kind Sidekicks created in conjunction with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for this years CFDA fashion awards, to benefit the CFDA’s Fashion Targets Brest Cancer initiative. CFDA designers including Phillip Lim, Tommy Hilfiger, Betsey Johnson and Cynthia Rowley, along with CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg partnered with T-Mobile to design the exclusive Sidekicks, which will be auctioned online in September to raise funds for FTBC. Every year, this event is attended by fantastic celebrities. This year, it will be hosted by actress and former “Will and Grace” star Debra Messing. Past VIP guests have included, Jay-Z, Owen Wilson, Donald Trump, Jeremy Piven, Tom Brady, Adrian Greenier, Anne Hathaway, Elizabeth Hurley, the Hilton family, Woody Harrelson and many more. Partners for the event include JetOne Jets, Alice and Olivia, St. Regis, Jaeger-LeCoulter Watches, the Trump Organization, and Hamptons Magazine. On Saturday Elie Tahari threw a first class party at his Sagaponack estate that faces the ocean. Guests arrived to celebrate the new store he is opening in East Hampton as well as the New Yorkers For Children charity. The absolutely gorgeous house, which had a sleek sound system throughout as well as a stunning Bert Stern “The Last Sitting” photograph of Marilyn Monroe, had guests enjoying the cool breeze from the sea. Of course, Elie thought of everything, for those that wanted to walk to the beach without getting a little chilly, Elie had baskets filled with new white sweaters from his line to keep guests warm. It was a fantastic event.
Now there is a thoughtful guy.

Christie Brinkley was looking stunning at the screening of in The Shadow Of The Moon at the Southampton UA Theater last Sunday. She sure as hell makes me want to see that movie. The gorgeous model/actress/milf has been hitting the Hamptons scene and a local pilates instructor told us that she has been keeping herself in amazing shape. We are all so happy that she is. I for one am certainly glad it’s her strutting her stuff around and not what’s his name.
Kiera Chaplin (yes as in Charlie Chaplin) had a birthday party hosted by W Hotels and Belvedere Vodka at a Southampton hideaway. The actress was looking great as always. Not too sure who the blond is holding the drink coming up the stairs behind her.
P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs or whatever you would like to call him was all smiles as he hosted Vic Latino’s new nightclub Whitehouse in Hampton Bays. He certainly entertained the crowd from his VIP table all night long, even though he showed up at around 2 a.m. “These people paid a lot of money to get into this club, we better show them a good time!” he yelled out to the cheering crowd through a microphone. We heard that he got paid $200,000 to basically be the man for a night during the Hamptons fourth of July.

Massive amounts of East Enders were let down last night when the Grucci-sponsered Montauk Fireworks were cancelled at the very last minute. Despite and on-and-off rainstorms, people truly thought the ‘works would happen, with hot-lines and beach staff saying everything was in motion! At the final hour, however, it was announced that they’d be postponed, until Fall, when none of these folks will be anywhere near the Hamptons. Hmmmm, bummer. We called the Montauk Chamber of Commerce ourselves this morning and spoke to Lorraine Creegan, “No one wants to get soaked, so the fireworks have been postponed until Oct 6th at 7 pm for the Fall festival. It was a last-minute call because of the torrential downpours.”
