Here’s an idea that we like. How ’bout throw a part to raise money for the town? A really, really, really awesome party. The owner of the Memory Motel in Montauk, Arthur Schneider, is proposing that a rock concert featuring stars like Billy Joel and Paul Simon be put in Montauk with the proceeds of the concert going to the Town of East Hampton to fix its ugly budget.
Good idea? Sounds good to us. He’s being taken seriously. Just make sure that you don’t charge $3,000 a ticket like the Ross School did. Not too many people pay $3,000 to see a concert surprisingly.

We had a feeling that we were gonna read about this sooner or later. You remember those Ross School Concerts last summer that were so unbelievably ridiculously awesome? Remember all the celebs that attended and all of the food and all of the hype which had Prince, Dave Matthews, Billy Joel, Tom Petty and James Taylor rocking out for the well to do? Well guess what? Not too many people shelled out the $15,000 bucks! The well connected Hamptonites worked their magic to get free tickets and celebs weren’t paying for tickets either. What did they think was gonna happen?
The Post has reported that the Ross School concerts last year lost $18 million bucks. The Warner Music Group, owned by Joe Meli, were responsible for the concerts.
They may have lost money on the concerts, but hey, they made one Billy Joel fan very happy. And if you are gonna lose $18 million, might as well party your !@#%!#% butt off!

Billy Joel is continuing to move on up in Sagaponack. We just found out that he has spent $11.6 million buying the house next door to his $16.75 million house in Sagaponack that he just bought off of Roy Schieder last year. Looks like him and Katie Lee have a lot to be happy about. This year, his concerts have been more in demand and he also just debuted his new song, “Christmas in Fallujah,” at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates outside of Chicago. The song was inspired by letters he received from soldiers in Iraq and has been a hot topic since he chose to have Cass Dillon sing the song, who is an up and coming star. His new 16.75 million dollar place is a three bedroom and two bathroom with one hell of a view.
