The Windmill Movie is a movie about the life of Richard P. Rogers a filmaker and teacher at Harvard University and Director Of The Harvard University Film Studies Center. Mr. Rogers dedicated over twenty years of his life filming a documentary about himself, his emotions and viewpoints, including his experiences of summers in the Hamptons. He shot countless hours of film, but never completed the movie and died of cancer in 2001. One of his students Alexander Olch helped finish it and filled in the pieces to bring the movie to life. The shots of old footage of Hamptons parties is incredible in the trailer. It won “The Official Selection at the New York Film Festival”
It will be showing at the Sag Harbor Movie Theater over the weekend of June 19th/20th.
