At Bidewee, you can bring your dog in for a day of Doga, or dog yoga. Yes, we are serious, or at least Bidawee is serious. You bring in your dog and you do some stretches for him. Apparently it is something that has really caught on. Google “Doga” and you’ll see what we mean.
You also focus on his/her breathing. If you are into this, you should check it out.

Spencer Tunick, known for taking large groups of naked people into public and recognizable places and then taking their picture, struck again last week, this time in Montauk.
The photographer gathered well over 300 people, all of whom got together near the Montauk Lighthouse, took their clothes off and took some photographs. The shoot certainly gave a few Montauk fishermen an elevated heart beat.

FOX’s News man Bill O’ Reilly confirmed his appearance on Ingrid Lemme’s American Dream show this summer, filmed at Gurney’s Inn in Montauk, aired tri-state NY on Hamptons TV- WVVH. O’ Reilly is holding up to his promise that he gave the bodacious show host a couple of years ago over a dinner at Gurney’s Sea Grille (with Bill’s wife Maureen and Gurney’s CFO Gary Hodgins) for an interview about his private live. The O’ Reilly who had already reservations at the famous seaside resort for the filming have in the meantime bought a house in the Hamptons.

It can’t be easy being the wife of the most hated man in America right now. But Ruth Madoff doesn’t want to give up her 3 million dollar home in Montauk. Her lawyers are arguing that she should keep the home.
Oh sure, why not just keep it, you only were married to the guy that stole 50 billion dollars!
That house better get sold for justice sake.

Bill Hemmer, you know him from Fox News, will be the emcee at the Heart of The Hamptons Gala. This is an excellent time to open up your wallets for a great cause. Hope to see you there.

I’m just gonna say it because it needs to be said. Royal Pains sucked last night and the episode before. Nobody cares about rich people’s kids getting sick. It really isn’t that interesting. They need to find this show new direction or it is going to get the boot.
And by the way, Hank’s insecurity/charm looks idiotic. He should be pompous and tougher.

It is my personal belief that the second part/episode of a trilogy/series tends to be a let-down: I think the second Harry Potter is the worst of the seven, Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back is in my mind far inferior to the other two originals, et cetera. I was willing to attribute my “Sophomore Slump” theory to Royal Pains last week when I was disappointed by the second episode, and so I was waiting impatiently to prove myself right because a)I thought I might be onto something thesis-worthy and b)I really wanted to like it.
But I kind of thought it was a little lame again. To be honest, I actually kept falling asleep during the show last night (don’t worry, I’ve caught up..) Firstly the opening scene with the dog-walker… really? reeeallly? Just me or a little contrived? And the “get me a towel and something sharp”-type lines are getting slightly repetitive and even less credible (but that’s probably just me.)
But then again, parts of it were still cool. Seeing all of the sites we’re so used to passing by all the time hasn’t really got old yet, at least not for me. And not everything is that far-fetched: the whole not-noticing-a-deer-tick-until-you’re-half-paralysed-thing is totally feasable out here.
I really, really want to like this show. I’m thinking/hoping maybe they just need a couple of episodes to get the hang of things and that they’ll come back and knock us off our feet some Thursday soon..
Anyway, if you missed last night’s episode, here it is:
(By the way, is it just me or are is these maybe the strangest opening titles ever??)
