The Ross School High School was blown away by the soulful and commanding spoken word performances of Abraham Velazquez, Carvens Lissaint and Kiara Townes from Urban Word NYC last week. They shared their poetry through song, performance and even human beatboxing, and later taught a poetry workshop.
On April 23, the third graders finished their studies on early humans with a wax museum featuring these early ancestors and the scientists who greatly influenced the understanding of evolution. For Earth Day,the fourth grade held a plant sale, which sold out in less than an hour and ultimately raised $217 to purchase mulch for the Lower School garden.

The Hilton’s are putting their Hamptons home on the real estate market. If you are interested in renting, you’ll have to shell out about $400,000 bucks. That’s not so bad right?
Maybe you could work out a deal where the two sisters can stay there whenever they want to get the price down. Or would that bring the price up?

Paul Sidney passed away today. The legend, entrepreneur, president and GM of Sag Harbor-based radio station WLNG 92.1, will be missed dearly.
Paul’s impact on the East End, Long Island radio and the communities that he served provided a source that was loved by all. There is not a single local who didn’t wait patiently listening to the radio while growing up on the East End, that didn’t hear Paul tell them it was a snow day for school. There is not a single visitor, who hasn’t been charmed by him and his station. He will be dearly, dearly missed.
Funeral services will be provided by Yardley and Pino Funeral Home. You can send condolences to WLNG or to the funeral home.
