I have been sitting in upstate New York and watching this debocle staring Madoff and Friends. I do feel sorry for some of the smaller investors and for the closet investors(investors not knowing thru funds outside Madoff), but I do not feel sorry for anyone who lost money and did not understand their financial statement. First of all, the S&P 1oo could not have sustained Madoff’s action! It is too small and not played 24 hours a day, like the S&P 500. Their is maybe a couple of billion in at best. It is/and will always be too small. It also closes with daily action, and is not traded after hours! If you have millions placed with someone, don’t you want to know your own portfolio and its contents. I hate to be the messenger of bad news, but forget the thought of the ISR owing any one money back. You placed your money, and Madoff sent you profit checks that were taxable. Second, and better news for you all is that the SEC was responcible for your money by virtue of law enforcement as was the securities dealer organizations. You can go after them. For the SEC, if any of you wish to pass on this information, you will win by charging them with gross malfiesence which carries a 15 year sentence. They must have acted, and they do not have a defense! I was not a billionaire, just a common thug, who ran some Bars, made some money thru hi-jacking and, “Oh” I was Meyer Lansky’s last enforcer and a general national syndicate member and a full member of the old Lansky Group. I know crime, it was my business until the IRS-CID caught up with me. I lost a lot of money fighting them and would have been better off doing my 5 years, but I fought and I won! I also became a consultant to the IRS-CID and understand the law and crime. Stick to charges against the SEC, and other Securities regulatory agencies including the States Madoff did business in. The swapping of money from account to account, leave to the Justice Dept. They will make a deal for a few Billion as soon as they indick Madoff’s wife and Children. You will all see that it will lead back to the SEC. Good Luck to all, bigmikecraft.newsvine.com/
