January 19th, 2009

The Catastrophic Illness Fund of East Hampton, is a hidden gem of goodness in the Hamptons. It was created by Rudy DeSanti, who used to own Dreesen’s Market, and gets private donations for people who illnesses that create unbelievably high medical bills.

There are no fundraisers to attend if you want to contribute, because it is all about helping people. The fund has already helped 30 families between East Hampton and Montauk. If you would like to donate to it checks may be made out to the East End Foundation and sent to P.O. Box 1746, Montauk, N.Y., 11954.
