The owners of the Diner in Hampton Bays are filing a lawsuit against Southampton for $55 million after they alleged that police have been targeting thier nightclub for raids due to the fact that it is a Latin night. They used the phrase “gestapo-like” tactics.
Linda Kabot says that the police actions against the diner had nothing to do with ethnicity, but everything to do with zoning and State Liquor Authority guidelines.
East Hampton is busting a lot of chops at the Surf Lodge. No word on whether the owners of the Surf Lodge are filing a lawsuit for racism agains yuppies.

It is confirmed. One of the final episodes of the season of Gossip Girl is going to feature a scene where all of the charachters in the show are hanging out poolside in that Hamptons.

We got to hand it to Olesya Medvedchikova for what she has accomplished since moving to America in 2001. This lovely lady runs her own boutique style photography business out of Sag Harbor.
“The Hamptons Photography” is what she calls it and she takes pictures of virtually all types of events, from corporate to private parties, with vast experience in high end wedding and family portraiture. She is also specializing in architectural photography, virtual tours and panoramic images. She’s also pretty cute

Romany Kramoris Gallery will be featuring the work of John Messinger, a photography instructor at the Ross School from July 25 to August 7 in Sag Harbor. Opening exhibtion is July 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Sag Harbor.
Coming from that vein of photography called The Family of Man, whereby one captures and learns about the human experience by photographing it, John Messinger loves taking photos. Since we love the Ross School and local artists, feel free to check out his show!

Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden? Get Real.
Say hello to championship golf for women in Southampton in 2013. It is absolutely official. The 2013 Women’s United States Open will be held at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton. Sebonack is a fabulous private club and this will be the first time they get to host anything super major (the club hasn’t been around very long) and it is going to bring back professional golf to the area. We haven’t seen golf played on this level since 2004.
So you got four years to train on the course. Get out there and play!

Jayyyyyyoooo! Is no longer a republican-ooooo.
You all remember the campaign slogan right? Well Jay Schneiderman is no longer a member of the Republican party. Hmmm, wonder why? Well if you make public that you don’t agree fundamentaly with foreign and social policy, you leave the party.
Will the republicans endorse him anyway. No way. It has already been reported that will not happen.
Jay has always done right by East Hampton and the County. What do you think about this news?

For all of you folks that thought there would be no fireworks in the town of East Hampton this summer other then the Devon Yacht Club fireworks, think again.
BOYS HARBOR FIREWORKS ARE ON FOR JULY 12 IN EAST HAMPTON.
If you have a boat, anchor in the harbor. It’s an amazing, absolutely amazing time and is keeping in the the tradition of George Plimpton.
