Say goodbye to the Starbucks in Southampton! A recent decision to close 600 stores across the United States includes our little Starbucks in Southampton.
So if you need your espresso fix, you better start bulking up at home. That poor building in Southampton just can’t figure it out. Before that, it was the Greasy Spoon that closed and before that it was Chock Full O’ Nuts that closed. What would work in that store?

While it was Starbucks that brought Lattes mainstream and helped grow the coffee culture here, there are plenty of other (and may I add, better!) places to go to get your coffee or espresso fix. Besides our own local company, Hampton Coffee Company in Water Mill and Westhampton Beach, Hamptonites and visitors are lucky to have a myriad of small cafes to choose from. Whether you choose our espresso bars or our competitors, you’ll receive a better product and better service and you’ll be supporting local businesses that hire local people and support local charities.

No one cares. Arrogant bastards deserve to lose a few. Maybe if they trained their employees to be regular coffee servers and not self important and smug baristas, they might still have a store on every street corner. This aint Europe folks. It’s the good old US of A and we don’t take too kindly to phoney sophistication. Get a clue Starbucks.
