It’s been a quiet week out East, marked only by Gawker’s Tom Wolfe sighting and my own, personal Billy Joel run-in at Starbucks in Bridgehampton.
A good week for movies and popcorn, You Kill Me is playing at both Sag Harbor and Southampton. It’s silly - go see it.
If you’re more inclined to unwind at home, Trata just sent me their frappe recipe. Frappes are the best things in Greek culture since John Stamos.
Greek Frappe Coffee
Ingredients (1 serving):
1 1/2 tsp Nescafe Classic instant coffee
1 1/2 c. cold water
Sugar and Milk (to your taste)
Ice Cubes
Combine the coffee with 1/4 cup of water, and shake vigorously, or use a blender,
milk shake machine, or hand held Frappe mixer. A thick foam will develop.
Pour this foam into tall glass with ice. Pour remaining water into shaker and empty
into glass. Add milk and sugar to your taste.
Enjoy the simple life while it lasts. Chances are the peace ‘n quiet will not last long!
