Last night was the premiere of Michael Moore’s new film, SICKO.
The film debuted at the East Hampton movie theater, followed by a private party at Prime 103.
Though viewers felt inevitably stirred, maybe even depressed, after the film (which focuses on the atrocious healthcare system in the US), the general consensus was that Moore has written, directed and produced yet another important, original, engaging film.
Plus, he has lots of fabulous friends.
Heather Graham and her boyfriend Charles Ferri sat next to me. She looked spectacular in her Pucci, but like all women in the theater, she was so unbearably cold that she contemplated leaving mid-movie. Instead her boyfriend bought some popcorn, which they ate rather loudly (I love her, but it’s true!).
Harvey Weinstein was in the audience, as was Chevy Chase. And of course, the crowd consisted of Hamptons-centric celebrities like Christie Brinkley and Tommy Hilfiger. Also there: LeeLee Sobieski, Candice Bergen, Steven Gaines and Jane Rosenthal.
See the movie. But you might want to bring your passport. It will make you insanely angry at our country. If not the passport, at least bring a sweater.

Michael Moore should move to Cuba and get liposuction. I’m growing tired of his anti-american self promotion. What a turd.
