My one complaint about living here full time in the summer? Tuesday nights. Restaurants are closed, bars are bare, movies are old, even the reruns are random. So I thought I’d make it my mission to figure out the best place to go when it’s Tuesday out East and I’m feeling abandoned. Unfortunately, my field reporting hasn’t led me to Shangri-la (yet), though I did come up with a few midweek conclusions.
If it’s a Tuesday night, and you’re solo (by choice, of course!), here’s an idea of what’s out there:
Trata: Best place to go home with a bartender
Sen: Best place to eat, drink and pretend to be busy on your blackberry
The Corner Bar: Best place to drink tequila and compare tattoos
The American Hotel: Best place to feel younger than everyone
Cyril’s: Best place to get drunk as a skunk with surfers
Bobby Van’s: Best place to find a husband (who may secretly have a wife)
Suki Zuki: Overall best place to make new friends and score a decent date
